The UK commercial vehicle market is supported from the Knorr-Bremse facility at Emersons Green in North Bristol, strategically sited with access to both M4 & M5 motorway links and the ability to reach our major customers within a 1/2 day delivery window. From the site we provide a full suite of market support activities covering Commercial & Technical Sales, Technical Field Support, Customer Liaison, Product Training and 2800m2 of Logistics, Storage & Systems Kitting activities.
We support the full range of braking system end users for vehicles generally above 6tonnes GVW in the OE sector with customers manufacturing truck, bus, trailer, utility vehicles and on/off road applications providing a full "end to end" design, application and technical support service with the addition of offering bespoke kitting of our system components into a "ready to fit" vehicle kit encompassing customer specified bracketry, fittings & system connectors for which full sourcing, logistics and systems engineering control is taken in house to optimise the value-add proposition to the vehicle manufacturer.
In parallel to the OE business we provide the UK's most comprehensive range of commercial vehicle braking aftersales support for both OES (original equipment spares) and the IAM (independent aftermarket) with an active portfolio of over 3500 products of which ~1800 are routinely held on stock for immediate delivery and access to additional product from our EU distribution centers within 24hrs. Our Aftermarket sale team provide field support to the wholesale & distributor network with full access to the Bristol based team covering Commercial sales, Technical Support & Logistics. We offer through the night delivery services for VOR (vehicle off the road) situations and customer collection from the Bristol distribution center that is resupplied with daily deliveries from Knorr-Bremse manufacturing plants across the EU, Asia & USA.
We operate all processes within the business in line with the IATF16949 quality management standard that exceeds 80% of our markets specified requirements, this however enables us to ensure we carry a common approach to quality management throughout the entire supply chain and production processes.
To support our market with the rapid development of technically advanced products and the growth of EBS (Electronic braking systems) and ADAS (Advanced driver assistance systems) we also provide general product, customer specific and customer field support team training that can be delivered in-house at Bristol and at customer premises that all help in our ethos a "full system supplier" and focus on "total cost of ownership" with correct training and maintenance being critical components.
