On Tuesday 19 March 2019 Norsk Hydro - one of the world's largest aluminium producers - was hit by a ransomware attack. Read more on the Norsk Hydro ransomware attack here
This brings into sharp focus the need for manufacturers to have a cyber security plan in place for such eventualities. Cyber attacks can be hugely detrimental to businesses of all sizes with operational and financial implications. The resulting damage to businesses depends on the nature of the attack and how well placed the business is in both preparing for it and tackling it once it has taken place.
