• Payroll and HR system

    Hi We are looking to introduce a Payroll and HR system on a managed service basis. We employ 80 employees and currently just use a payroll system, which is not meeting our needs. Can anyone recommend a good provider which is UK based and where you get direct contact with a payroll specialist? We also want the system to allow employees to be able to book holidays.     Not UK based, but we use ADP (iHCM) for our payroll and holiday bookings. We'll be moving, hopefully soon, to using it for tracking sickness as well. They're American based with call centres in India, but we tend to get our queries answered via the ticketing system relatively quickly. In my previous Company (also manufacturing) we used Sage Payroll and then used BreatheHR for our holidays, sickness etc. With both ADP and Sage Payroll, we didn't get direct access to a payroll specialist; however, when we looked to change at my previous Company, we nearly went with Moorepay. In the end, we decided to go with our Accountants who would process our payroll for around the same cost that Moorepay was charging and we would have direct access for queries etc. Might be worth checking out with your Accountants if its a service they provide.

    we have just introduced IRIS payroll and had a really smooth transition, our payroll is generally static, we have 118 employees.
    They have also just bought cascade which is a good hr software system.

    When we introduced our payroll we brought several providers in MOREPAY, IRIS and ADP they were our existing provider.

    You could try contacting Croner. I worked there on the employment law advice line so know they are reputable and customer-focused. I think they have a system called Croner Simply Personnel which could fit the bill for you, although I havent worked with it myself.

    I have recently moved away from Moorepay to ADP. Moorepay did not provide me with a good service, so I would not recommend. ADP do have a great portal and it can be linked to a HR system where time and attendance is recorded. I have a separate time and attendance system, so I am not using it, but the managed payroll section is very good. I'm still getting to grips with it as only went live in June. I do a weekly payroll for approximately 10 employees and a monthly payroll for 80. I had an account manager and implementation manager who stay with you during the process and then you raise queries on an e service system and also have a help desk contact.
