• Succession Planning & Skills - Birmingham, 5 December 2019

The NPL Manufacturer Measurement Network will be holding an event with Make UK on 5 December 2019, 'Succession Planning & Skills.'

It is well known that people are the most important part of any business, and it is also recognised that there is a general lack of suitably trained people to meet current industrial demands as well as future needs. Apprentice schemes are covering some of these gaps, as are other vocational and workplace training schemes, but is it enough?

How can we find the right training for our staff, and how can we ensure that the skills we have within our teams are maintained and passed on to other members of our teams?

Two key themes regarding the future of manufacturing are access to appropriate technology, and how to develop a team with the appropriate skills to meet the current and future needs of the business - including team members who have grown up with advanced technology and want to use it to drive innovation and product ability improvements within businesses.

Hear from a range of speakers about how they have addressed the skills challenge, and from a range of skills & training providers, about how they can help.

Lab tours for the evening will commence at 4:30pm and will include either a tour of Make UK OR a training taster session delivered by the NPL training team.

Venue: MAKE UK Technology Hub, Unit 6, Nobel Way, Birmingham, B6 7EU
    Date & Time: Thursday 5 December 2019, 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Complimentary food and drink will be available on the evening and free parking will be available on a first come first serve basis
